1 Xa Loi Pagoda
The pagoda was built to worship the relics of the Buddha, so when it was inaugurated, the monk Khanh Anh named the pagoda Xa Loi. 2 Giac Lam Pagoda
Giac Lam Pagoda has an architectural style of the letter Tam (Ξ) consisting of three rows of interconnected horizontal houses: the main hall, the lecture hall and the groom's house. The roof of the pagoda consists of 4 flaps, the roofs are straight. The main hall is in the style of a traditional folk house: one compartment, two wings, four main columns (four pillars). The space in the hall is wide and deep, with 56 large dark brown columns. The columns are all carved with couplets and elaborately gilded.
In front of the temple is a stupa of relics with 7 hexagonal floors. The statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara was placed in front of the yard, under the shade of the Bodhi tree brought by Venerable Narada from Sri Lanka on June 18, 1953.
3 Buu Long Pagoda
Buu Long Pagoda is called Buu Long Ancestral Monastery , located on a hill by the Dong Nai River. Buu Long Pagoda has the unique architecture of temples in Thailand and India mixed with the architecture of pagodas of the Nguyen Dynasty.
The highlight of the pagoda is the over 2000 square meter Gotama Cetiya tower, which was started construction in 2007 and completed in 2013. Gotama Cetiya stupa is the place to worship the relics of Buddha and the saints. The tower is 70 m high and built according to the features of Funan culture.
4 Temple of Ba Thien Hau
The main deity worshiped in the temple is Thien Hau Thanh Mau. Ba Thien Hau Pagoda was built in the style of typical Chinese houses with a combination of 4 houses forming the shape of the word "khau" or "national". 5 Vinh Nghiem Pagoda
Vinh Nghiem Pagoda was built by two monks, Thich Tam Giac and Thich Thanh Kiem. The pagoda took the design prototype from a wooden pagoda of the same name in Duc La village, Tri Yen commune, Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province. The pagoda is located on a spacious campus, about 6,000 m2, close to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street. The pagoda architecture follows the ancient style of Northern Vietnam, but with modern techniques and construction materials.
6 Hoang Phap Pagoda
Hoang Phap Pagoda is located on an area of 6 hectares, at first the pagoda was built with bricks and two floors of tiled roofs. In 1965, the pagoda welcomed 60 families with 361 people to the temple to nurture and build 55 houses for the people to settle down. In 1968, the pagoda received 365 children from 06 to 10 years old to raise. On March 23, 1995, the temple rebuilt the main hall.
Hoang Phap Pagoda has undergone many stages of reconstruction and upgrading. Currently, the temple has a large campus with many tall trees that shade all year round. Since 2005, the temple has organized a summer retreat for pupils and students. There are five pagodas that receive nearly 6,000 students and students to attend the Summer Retreat .
7 Minh Huong Pagoda
Minh Huong Pagoda is the place to worship Quan Thanh De – Quan Vu (162 – 219) , also known as Quan Cong, so it is also called Ong Pagoda. Minh Huong Pagoda is a temple with beautiful architecture, bearing the characteristics of the Chinese people. From the gate to the dome, there are thick patterns, statues depicting scenes of fairyland activities. At the end of the two arched domes, there is a statue of Mr. To and Mrs. Nguyet reaching out his hand.
In the main hall of the temple, there is a statue of Quan Thanh De with a red face and a long beard, a majestic robe. 8 Jade Emperor Pagoda
Ngoc Hoang Pagoda is the common name of Ngoc Hoang Palace, the word name is Phuoc Hai Tu. The French call it Da Kao Pagoda. Jade Emperor Pagoda is an ancient temple, architecture in the style of Chinese temples with brilliant decoration. The pagoda was built of bricks, roofed with yin and yang tiles, decorated with colored ceramic statues. In the pagoda, there are many works of art: altar paintings, statues, interlocking objects, incense sticks made of wood, ceramic or paper mache materials.
Ngoc Hoang Pagoda is not like other temples in the city when the main hall worships the Jade Emperor, Huyen Thien Bac De with the heavenly soldiers and generals. In addition, it also worships Quan The Am Bodhisattva , Dai The Chi Bodhisattva and some familiar gods in the beliefs of the Chinese as well as the Vietnamese people. This place is not only famous for domestic people but also an attraction for foreign tourists when visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
